I officially became a second generation ABO on my 18th birthday. However, I pushed Amway aside as I wanted to become a doctor. However, I quickly realised that the long shifts and constant fatigue were draining not just my energy, but also my joy.
Later on, even when my husband and I ran our own clinic, it kept us apart rather than brought us closer. In the meantime, I watched my parents living a very different life: healthy, free and filled with purpose. They woke up every day without an alarm clock and enjoyed their life to the fullest. Deep down, I wished for the same.
In 2016, I decided to restart my Amway journey. My husband was hesitant at first. He believed that success can only come from traditional hard work, he was unfamiliar with residual income. However, as he observed my parents’ happiness and my growing commitment, he eventually joined me in the business.
I have been taking Nutrilite products from the age of three, so health and wellbeing have always been part of my lifestyle. Still, I wanted to do more than simply share products. I pursued wellness certifications and began guiding others through personalised nutrition and fitness programmes that included BodyKey and Nutrilite supplements.
Seeing people around me regain their health, confidence and energy made me realise I was building something meaningful, even when others dismissed the business as ‘just another MLM’.
When I finally qualified as Diamond, the confirmation came through a video call. My husband and I ran to the screen in tears, overwhelmed by gratitude for our mentors and team members. This success belongs to all of them as much as it does to us. Our motto is simple: Be authentic, and build a team that works with you, not for you.
Amway has given us more than just flexibility and the ability to travel. It has given us the precious gift of time — time to be with our parents, for our family to grow together, and to help others. Today, our entire family is part of this journey. Even my in-laws are Platinums, and together, we are building a legacy that will continue for generations.
To anyone still looking for direction, remember this: be sincere, stay focused and keep learning. Success is not measured by speed. It comes from remaining true to your purpose. For me, Amway is more than just a business. It is the bridge between my profession and my passion for helping others build healthier and more meaningful lives.
